A little more than a year ago, JoJo released a cover of sorts of Drake’s “Marvin’s Room,” which included the fairly crass lyric, When you’re in her I know I’m in your head. For a woman who may be best known for her teenage singing career, this was a departure. She’s since continued departing, recording a single, “Demonstrate,” with Noah “40″ Shebib and releasing a mixtape, Agapé. She’s in a bit of label purgatory right now, but she’s determined to tour and release music regularly. She stopped by our office to talk about her last year, plans for the future and how she has such a nice voice.
